A bit more about me…
I live with my family in Wadhurst, a charming village on the Kent and East Sussex border, having swapped the big smoke of London for the Hobbity wonders of the English countryside. Our household includes our three-year-old human dynamo of a son, my writer husband and our cuddly, ever-so-slightly crazy cockapoo, Peggy.
Before becoming a celebrant, my career revolved around acting, comedy, and writing. I've always found joy in entertaining people and becoming immersed in storytelling. There's nothing quite like the shared energy of a theatre or gathering where everyone is connected to a single moment. This experience translates perfectly to my role as a celebrant, where I craft ceremonies that put people centre-stage in their own stories. It's truly an honour, as well as a delight to tell someone's story at such pivotal life moments.
My background in events management, which included coordinating shows at the Royal Albert Hall, is an invaluable tool as a celebrant. Understanding that events can be stressful to organise, I take pride in handling the logistics so that my clients can remain relaxed and fully present in their special moments.
The path to celebrancy opened up for me after attending too many lacklustre ceremonies where officiants simply read from dusty scripts that failed to capture the essence of the people involved. These special gatherings are among the most important days in our lives. I will help you ensure that these significant moments are tailored, memorable, vulnerable, and above all, human.
